It used to be easy to tell a person's favorite book, top reference guide or most quoteworthy collection; the underlying crucial data was made visible through layers of post-its and other scraps of paper. There was an odd aesthetic to it; shoddy and haphazard, but evidence of love. How nostalgic... :)
